Dr. Lisa Hogan earned both her Bachelor of Science degree in biology and her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, NC. She completed her residency in general and vascular surgery at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY, including a year of research in vascular surgery. She is board certified in general and vascular surgery, and practiced this specialty in Kentucky for 16 years.
Lisa became interested in cosmetic procedures early in her surgical career and obtained training from nationally recognized experts in liposuction and laser therapy. She has 10 years experience in cosmetic procedures and anti-aging medicine with an established reputation as an expert in the use of cosmetic lasers and an innovator in minimally invasive cosmetic techniques. She is noted for her dedication to patient safety, patient comfort, patient satisfaction and excellent results. She is also a national aesthetics and laser trainer.
Lisa recently returned to North Carolina to be close to family. She is very proud of her most recent accomplishment—the establishment of North Carolina’s first eco-friendly medical office.

Youthology is the first eco-friendly medical office in North Carolina to register with the US Green Building Council for LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification. LEED certification is an outstanding achievement based on the results from ratings in five categories, including sustainable sites, water efficiency, energy and atmosphere, materials and resources, and indoor environmental quality. This premier medical facility brings both style and sustainability to its state-of-the-art design.
Dr. Lisa Hogan, founder and medical director of Youthology, states, "Our vision for Youthology was to create a healing and planet-friendly place with sophisticated design where patients could experience the very best that technology and modern aesthetic and anti-aging medicine have to offer. What makes the quality of interior space so important is that Americans spend approximately 90% if their time indoors. In designing and creating the Youthology office we used materials that were recycled, reclaimed, and rapidly renewable. All materials were manufactured in an environmentally friendly way and do not release harmful chemicals or volatile organic compounds." The end result is a beautiful and healthy place for patients and employees to enjoy.
Hogan worked with award-winning green architect, Tina Govan to achieve Youthology's forward-looking environmentally conscious design. Some of the highlights are:
A loft-like wall from reclaimed bricks; Salvaged wood for shelving and interior doors; Organic rugs of vegetable-dyed wool and polished concrete floors; A tankless, on-demand water heater, low flow faucet aerators and faucet sensors in public use areas; Energy Star appliances; An energy efficient lighting design using predominantly warm spectrum fluorescent lighting as well as a design that allows much natural light to flow through the space; An energy conserving heating, venting and air conditioning system with individual controls throughout the space and a sophisticated air filtration system for superior indoor air quality.
Some of the more unique materials in the space are the eco-resin doors and interior clerestory windows that have a gardenlike feel with embedded plant material. These doors play a vital role in the drive to maximize natural lighting throughout the space.
Hogan's passion for environmental sustainability has informed her every decision. From the use of electronic medical records and email communications to conserve paper and the use of post-consumer recycled paper for printed material to the choice of organic product lines in recycled packaging, a comprehensive approach to eco-friendliness takes precedence at Youthology.

Cancellations
Should you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, we ask that you notify us at least 24 hours in advance out of courtesy to other Youthology guests. Guests will be asked for a credit card number to reserve appointments. While we understand emergency cancellations, there will be a full charge for missed services with less than 24 hours notice. Please understand this courtesy enables us to compensate our employees for their time, and maintains availability of our time for you, as well as others. By scheduling an appointment, you are agreeing to our cancellation policy. The cancellation policy applies for special promotions vouchers as well.
(If you miss an appointment and do not give a 24 hour cancellation notice you will forfeit your voucher.)
Children
While we understand that babysitters may cancel at the last minute, your child cannot accompany you during consultations or treatments. Due to concerns for your child's safety, we cannot allow children to be in the waiting room unsupervised. If you bring a child with you to your appointment, you will simply be rescheduled, but you will also be charged the full price of the service or forfeit your voucher. We do not allow children to have food or drinks or colored markers, crayons, pencils, drawing materials or clays, play-dohs, etc. at any time in the waiting room.
